WELCOME

My approach in therapy is practical and client-centered. I am a certified EMDR therapist, and use this modality to help individuals process experiences that are interfering with their ability to manage emotions and/or life challenges. Although the protocol is known for its effective treatment of trauma and PTSD, it has expanded widely from its original mission. I use EMDR for processing both acute and chronic trauma (recent or past) as well as to address a variety of issues impacting daily life, such as: mood disorders, anxiety, phobias, low self-esteem, negative self-talk, chronic pain, prolonged grief, etc. I also often integrate EMDR with other modalities such as IFS and ACT to meet specific individual needs.

I specialize in therapy for neurologically diverse adults and older teens who are navigating a world that does not yet fully understand differences in sensory processing and cognitive style. I enjoy helping clients expand choices for social interaction, and to problem-solve practical challenges they may face at home, work, or school. I have found EMDR to be a highly useful modality, and adapt protocols as needed to meet individual cognitive styles. I also provide consultation to parents and caregivers of individuals who are working on issues related to neurodiversity and other processing differences.
