“All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make, the better.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
I received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado at Denver, focusing in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have received a Special Education Graduate Certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and have become a certified LifeMAP AsperCoach with the Autism and Asperger Network (AANE). I also trained in Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking and Ellyn Arwood’s Prosocial Thinking. As a therapist working in Community Mental Health, I received additional trainings in a variety of approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing. I trained in EMDR in 2000 and again in 2019, and have completed advanced EMDR training in the following areas: Flash Technique, Early Intervention, Sensory Processing, Autism, Chronic Pain, Grief, and Anxiety/Phobias/OCD. I also integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) strategies into my practice.
